High Level Symposium on GMS Logistics Cooperation
"Increasing Trade Flow through GMS Economic Cooridors Logistics Development"
on 6-7 June 2009, Kunming, Yunnan Province, PRC
Objective
i) provide a venue for public-private sector dialogue to exchange views and to shed lights on the logistics development in the GMS;
ii) identify specific logistics-related problems that are encountered in GMS accross border trade, and try to get a sense of possible solutions, be it hard infrastructure, be it institutional contstraints, availabillity and quailty of services, or demand by traders and manufactureres; and
iii) discuss the need, potential and steps of developing additional physical facilities to compement the existing trasport infastructure such as truck and containers depot, goods distribution center, the establishmen tof indistrial zone, etc.
