13th Meeting of the GMS Subregional Transport Forum

Asian Developmen Bank will organize the 13th Meeting of the GMS Subregional Transport Forum at Siem Reap City, Cambodia on 27-28 October 2009.

On behalf of Greater Mekong Subregion Business Forum (GMS-BF) Mr. Paul Apthorp, Board of Director of GMS-BF, Strategy Development, TNT Express Worldwide N.V. and Mr. Eugene Cody, Board of Director of GMS-BF, General Manager, Toll Logistic (Cambodia) will attend the 13th Meetin of the GMS Subregional Transport Forum. Meeting Theme: Toward the Development of an integrated GMS Railway NEtwork for Greater Connectivity

Objectives:

1. To review the Draft Report on the GMS Railway Strategy Study, which aims to produce a strategy and plan for the development of an integrated railway network that enhances connectivity within the GMS and with neighboring subregions.

2. To review the progress of the transport projects contained in the Vientiane Plan of Action for GMS Development (2008-2012).

3. To further review and prioritize key GMS transport projects in light of recent developments and issues in the GMS.
